Three individuals were detained Saturday evening after deputies discovered a marijuana concentrate lab in Canyon Country, officials said.
Just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station initially responded to the 28000 block of Oak Spring Canyon Road in Canyon Country after receiving reports that a large party was going to take place at the site.
“The deputies first responded there because they received calls that there was going to be a large party there,” said Robert Hahnlein of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “When they got there, they discovered the building was vacant.”
Hahnlein confirmed that deputies found evidence of a marijuana concentrate lab, and Narcotics Bureau officials were called to investigate.
“Three people have been detained for further investigation,” Hahnlein said.
Marijuana concentrate consists of cannabinoids (THC, CBD, THCV, etc.) terpenes, and flavonoids extracted from cannabis, and can be up to 70 percent more potent than regular cannabis, according to officials.
