How to grow cannabis seeds?

Growing cannabis seeds is not a simple task. It requires organization, adapting a space to the right conditions and managing some terms that will lead you to success in your crop. The most popular growing species are: cannabis Sativa, cannabis Indica and cannabis Ruderalis.

These seeds have characteristics and attributes that make them ideal for indoor or outdoor areas and for a type of climatic condition. Likewise, it is recommended to grow them in certain natural seasons, such as high temperatures that facilitate germination. The ideal growing period in our country is in early March.

Although there are different varieties of cannabis (autoflowering, regular, feminized), if you are looking for an optimized crop, the ideal is to choose the feminized ones since you will have greater guarantee that they are capable of producing powerful buds. Autoflowering Blueberry is a good variety because it’s a resistant plant that grows fast. It’s also beautiful while it’s growing with mixtures of beautiful colors like blue, purple, red, violet or lilac.

How to sow? If you are planning to plant a garden at home, the first thing you should do is create a seedbed and wait for it to germinate. This process is key because the seed is born and gradually transformed into a seedling and this requires having the right conditions.

For the germination to be effective it is important that the proper precautions are taken regarding humidity, oxygen, heat and darkness.  For example, it is recommended a moisture of approximately 90%, with adequate oxygen to develop, adequate light level more towards the dark because if you put direct light, not germinate, and the right temperature, with a rather warm environment that is located in a range of 20-24ºC.

The seed germinates approximately between 24 and 72 hours. Not your case? Don’t worry! Some may take longer, sprouting in 10 or 12 days. If your seeds, after those days, do not germinate, it means that they are damaged. So, we recommend you to discard them.

The last step in growing cannabis seeds is to plant the germinated cannabis seed. How? Well, condition the area where you are going to plant it, water the soil and make a small hole of about 2 to 3 mm. Then, always place the seed with the root towards the bottom and cover it with the substrate. Now, be patient! In 2 or 3 days, you will be able to see how your plant starts to grow.
