How cannabis weed delivery has taken over Los Angeles

As the city of Los Angeles transforms its new role as a legal city, a growing number of special tours are being offered, creating a marijuana mecca in southern California. Los Angeles is a vibrant and bustling destination that attracts thousands of people annually. In addition to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the City of Angels offers movie set-up tours, home celebrity tours, Hollywood landmark tours, food tours, brewing tours, and almost every trip you can think of. And now, this vast list includes marijuana tours, too.

Cannabis tourism is the city’s new industry, and it forms a road map for Colorado, Washington, and Oregon that began painting years before recreational use in California. As the state continues to roam the world of the official pot, let’s take a look at what this new tourism sector is all about.

How it all started

In 2012, Colorado and Washington became the first two states to legalize recreational marijuana. Washington DC, Oregon, and Alaska followed suit after two years. Then in 2016, California, Nevada, Maine, and Massachusetts all legalized marijuana entertainment by voting measures, and this year Vermont became the first province to officially register a recreational pot in the state legislature. Many states across the country have also officially registered the drug for medical purposes, which has led business insiders to estimate that the official weed will be $47 billion within a decade.

As in other cultural industries, weed delivery Los Angeles has decided to make marijuana a city-based alternative to every other growing industry: make money from it.

Where you can officially buy

Marijuana was officially legalized to purchase it for use in California in January 2018. Now, citizens can visit their local medical facility; these already exist on the other side of town, due to earlier pot use of the pot.

Age Limit

Under the new law, anyone 21 years of age or older can enter the store and buy up to a can of marijuana a day, or eight grams of concentrated cannabis can be found in foods such as candies, brownies, and beverages. Just don’t expect any late-night runs – the current law prohibits shops from selling between 10 pm and 6 am, and a fair warning for new consumers in the area: the 15% cannabis tax in California includes up to 60% markup rate, which is expected to change every six months.
