Adloop Knows When Your Phone’s Been In A Dispensary

Med Men store in NYC works with Adloop

Legal cannabis companies in North America want to target customers with ads and special offers, but they can only send those ads to people age 21 or older. Adloop, a company based in Toronto and Los Angeles offers these small businesses a solution, connecting them with consumers based on the consumer’s age and geolocation –  that is to say it sends ads to phones that have entered cannabis shops.

Adloop’s founder Josh Segal joined the legal cannabis space last year when he realized marijuana advertising was a niche that Facebook and Google weren’t participating in. It was also an area where sellers really need to make sure they are only sending ads to people 21+ and stay compliant with other regulations centered around US state or Canadian laws. The company was founded six years ago and now employs nearly 30 people.
